Echo9 measures the exact duration a line has to fill against the source audio before generating any rephrase.
Generated up front, each carrying the same meaning with different phrasing and length, before speed is ever considered.
The engine scores each candidate against the timing window and picks the closest natural fit; an editor can override the pick.
Scenes with interrupting or layered dialogue are handled independently, so one speaker's rephrase doesn't break sync with another's.
If no candidate fits perfectly, the engine takes the closest natural option rather than mechanically stretching or compressing audio.
Every substitution is logged, so editors can see exactly what changed from the literal line and why.
